The 1740H Twin is a fantastic lawn tractor. Powered by a Mountfield ST 550 Twin-cylinder engine and sporting hydrostatic transmission and a reverse gear, the 102cm wide cutting width makes light work of large lawns up to and over 2.5 acres.

Forward speed changes are smooth from a standing start to 8.8km/h and with electromagnetic blade engagement, it is easy to use and highly efficient. The cut quality is superb and clippings can either be collected in the 290-litre collector fitted at the rear of the garden tractor or, after fitting the mulching plug supplied with the garden tractor, can be finely cut as you mow and discharged back onto the lawn surface. Once there they rot down adding vital nutrients back into the soil. If using the collector emptying is easy – it can all be done from the driver’s seat.

Seven different blade heights are possible meaning that the 1740H can tackle every lawn length with ease. The 1740H Twin is backed by a five-year extended warranty.
